Our second POOLcast of the year is a collaboration between Storlon and Dollar Mambo from Switzerland. In their POOLcast the worlds of a modular enthusiast and a piano player are colliding. Both use all kinds of electric and acoustic sound generators to create a musical hybrid.
Acoustic-analog and synthetic-digital with influences from jazz, classical, drone, ambient, minimal, experimental and musique concrete form a heterogeneous body of art, which surprises over and over again with soulful details, mysterious sounds and rhythms. Dynamic, melodic and hypnotic. All stops of sound blending are pulled out, creating a maelstrom that is hard to escape from.
